I am really having a fun time altering composition books using a paper pad of Vintage Images that I found at Michael's. This lovely lady comes with a bird on her shoulder and the text "A Little Birdie Told Me." Perfect for a journal to keep all of your secrets in! I think we should all start off the new year with a new journal.
Blessed are the curious...for they create a better world.

Ooh La La Eiffel Tower Box
I love the Eiffel Tower and love to create anything using it as a component. I made the glittered Eiffel Tower out of cardstock. Then I decorated a paper mach box with french inspired papers (harlequin, one of my absolute favorite prints!) and a handmade flower out of text and other embellishments. Someday I'm going to get to Paris and see it in person.

Altered Journal Swap for Art Party
It's a New year for our ATC Club at Stamping Details in Poway. We've changed the format and are changing the name to Art Party. I'm so lucky to be involved with this very creative and warm group of ladies that meets once a month at the stamping store. We are now going to have a one-on-one swap every month starting with an altered journal. I created mine starting with a memo book. I covered it with vintage music paper and an image of this girl with a cupcake that I found in a wonderful pad of scrapbook paper at Michaels. I had so much fun making this one that now I want to make more of these!

Swami's in Downtown La Mesa, A New Fave!
Cassidy and I ventured out for a wonderful morning to downtown La Mesa. We started with a very tasty and healthy breakfast at Swami's and then visited the numerous boutiques and used clothing stores. We made some purchases for Cassidy at Act One, one of our usual stops, and then headed to my peronal favorite, Wildflowers, which displays many unique and creative gift items.

Matchbox Swap for the Art Party Club
Here is the altered matchbox that I created for my monthly Art Party club at Stamping Details in Poway. I found a new blog that I love, PaulienvandenBosch.blogspot.com, and used a few of her techniques. Paulien's blog introduced me to a new technique using an old favorite, Tulip Puffy Paint. I added a few lines of it to the chipboard flourish. I sprinkled some glitter on it before heating it to "puff" it. I also used it in the same way on the edges of my flower. Thanks Paulien for such an insoiration blog!
My good friend Lorraine drew my name and was the recipient of this matchbox filled with Christmas goodies.
