Altered Egg Carton Swap - How Fun!

Swaps. swaps, swaps.  There are so many to choose from:  altered Altoid tins, altered matchboxes, ATCs, and so on.  But an altered half-dozen egg carton?  I've never seen that before.  This swap was the brainchild of Cassandra of An Altered Adventure. What a creative swap!  The challenge was to decorate an egg carton and fill it with vintage or vintage inspired goodies.  My swap partners are Allison and Julie.  We all agreed that we like pastels, and ever since I redecorated my living room I am stuck on the Robin's Egg Blue.  As you can see, I decorated the top of the carton with handmade burlap and felt flowers, eggs, crepe paper, doilies and jewelry parts. It really was so much fun to be working on this unique project.

And then on to the inside.  I found a set of vintage sal shakers at an estate sale, and filled them with glass glitter.  A little candy (isn't the Lindt lamb adorable!), some bunny earrings, a bunny soap , a bunny hat pin and a few more little goodies completed the package. Today the Easter Bunny at USPS will get the package ready to deliver by Easter.  I hope the girls like it!

I'm linking to Pink Saturday, with an apology to Beverly that I am stuck in the Robin's Egg Blue phase and it is not pink!

VERY NICE JOB ON THE EGG CARTON. I WAS AMAZED ONE DAY IN AN ANTIQUE MALL, THEY ACTUALLY HAD EGG CARTONS FROM YEARS AGO AND THE PRICE BLEW ME AWAY.

Very pretty! I wouldn't mind a nibble off the Lindt lamb!
Funny, whenever I see these egg cartons, I remember a friend who covered her whole family room ceiling with them. It was pretty cool at the time. Happy Pinks and thanks for your visit.

Blessings,
Sandi

I'll tell you, I'm just dying for the time when I can do more swaps. This one is a gem -- I love how it was not only altered but filled -- whomever gets yours will be a lucky person indeed! I'm just glad to get studio time to make a few cards! This would be a major project!
